About 4 years old, I stood up during a performance of a Christmas carol and scolded Scrooge for being so mean. A flurry of applause and "shhhhs" followed.

Who was your idol as a kid?
I dunno, Robert Smith (from The Cure), when I was a teenager??
What was your super hero name?
I would always dress as superman, with a cape and all. It didn't have to be Halloween. I would just get dressed like him whenever I fancied (or at least wear the cape). I was also adamant at fixing my hair--whatever fringe/bangs I had--like Christopher Reeves.
What were your nicknames as a kid?
I had many, but the one that stood the test of teenage time was Gnomo!

I had many. I was in a conservatory since I was six, and we would play in the school's theatre often. But I remember being once at my mom's super corporate job for a Christmas lunch...I had my violin with me, and I just took it out and started playing along whatever Christmas tune was coming out of the speakers--I managed to call everyone's attention (which felt great!) and turned the whole lunch into a mini-recital! I was then featured on the first page of the company's news magazine that month!

Walt Disney was my childhood idol. I had a large portrait of him above my bed and read every biography I could find on his life and work.
What was your super hero name?
Storm. I was obsessed with Storm from the X-men and wanted to be a meteorologist

The first time I remember performing in front of anyone was when I was 5 years old. I decided to direct and star in a living room performance of Disney's Peter Pan. I recruited my then 2 year old sister to star as Wendy, and was most excited by the strobe and flash light that I used to create Tinkerbell's flight. I handled the flying portions of the show by padding the living room with cushions and tumbling through the air, and often into walls. Somewhere this performance exists on VHS which I expect to be used as blackmail at some point.
Who was your idol as a kid?
I used to do everything with my mommy. We had a lot of fun together. She also made my first costume for my first play!

I was a Skunk in Whinnie the Pooh, and my full body costume was a hit. In fact, I fell so in love with the costume and play, I never stopped. I was addictive to performing from the very start. And now, a BFA and an MFA later- I've made it my career.
